Job Summary

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team in the Health Facility. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing clinical care and services to incarcerated individuals within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) via telemedicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, level of care assessments, and screenings
  • Provide clinical treatment interventions such as brief counseling, group therapy, individual counseling, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Consult and collaborate with other disciplines for the care and treatment of individuals in CDCR/CCHCS
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and coordination
  • Perform assessments that assist with and facilitate transitional care planning that links patients with community resources and services as they release from CDCR
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
