Police Cadet

The City of Novi is seeking a proactive and career-oriented Police Cadet to work and learn in a community-oriented problem-solving environment. As a Police Cadet, you will assist with various tasks to support the police department's operations, including attending and assisting with community events, conducting traffic control, performing administrative duties, and observing police procedures.

• Provide exceptional customer service to individuals visiting the police department
• Take non-criminal reports made at the police department
• Perform detention facility duties and administrative tasks, such as administering preliminary breath tests and handling vehicle releases
• Conduct citation sign-offs and other documentation tasks

• Minimum of 15 credit hours at an accredited college or university
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Proficiency with various software tools and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong organizational skills to handle administrative tasks efficiently and accurately
