Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Cath Lab, you will be responsible for assisting cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions on adult patients. You will be focused on providing high-quality patient-centered care through assessment and management of cardiac patients with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role involves circulating, monitoring, and/or scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as some pre and post-care. This position is weekdays only and is located within Duke Raleigh Hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions
  • Provide high-quality patient-centered care through assessment and management of cardiac patients
  • Circulate, monitor, and/or scrub diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Perform pre and post-care for patients

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Licensed RN in NC or compact state with an unencumbered license
  • BLS certification required, ACLS required within 90 days
  • Minimum of two years of critical care experience or cardiac catheterization experience and working with hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active medications required
  • Ability to read and recognize EKGs and dysrhythmias required
