Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation for our residents and clients.

• Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
• Assist in receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Support the Dining Services Director and Dietary Aide as needed, and direct other employees with approval.
• Utilize protective gear in all functions and follow safety precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow infection control and universal precautions policies.

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
• Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision and maintain a safe work environment.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and experience in food preparation is a plus.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required, and compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies is mandatory.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
