Physical Therapy Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our pain management team at APEX Staffing, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Treatment Implementation: Assist in carrying out personalized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Patient Assessment: Track patient progress, note their response to therapy, and report any concerns or adverse effects to the Physical Therapist.
  • Patient Education: Teach patients and their families pain management techniques, home exercise routines, and lifestyle changes to support recovery.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide cohesive patient care.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure therapy equipment is ready, clean, and organized for each session.
  • Administrative Support: Help with patient intake, scheduling, and other tasks to keep the facility running smoothly.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Must have a valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Arkansas.
Experience:

Prior experience in pain management or a related clinical setting is a plus, but not required. Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions are essential. Patient-focused, compassionate, and a team player are also required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks related to therapy and patient care.
