Wooden Mold Specialist

Our facility in Independence, KS manufactures components for the construction, water treatment, and transportation industries. We are seeking an experienced Wooden Mold Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have previous woodworking experience and a strong understanding of CAD software. Additionally, they will be able to interpret part prints, build molds according to blueprint, and use various power tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting part prints
• Working knowledge of CAD
• Building molds according to blueprint
• Cutting/trimming wood to fit design
• Using correct tools for the job
• Cleaning and maintaining work tools
• Cleaning and maintaining safety equipment
• Cleaning work areas at the end of the workday
• Working in a safe manner and following all safety rules

Preferred qualifications include:

• Finish carpentry, furniture making, or wood fabrication experience
• Ability to interpret angles, lengths, and arcs from blueprints
• CAD experience
• Previous pattern making, form making experience
• Experience managing a small team
