Key Responsibilities
- Acts as the primary contact for all staff, residents, potential residents, community organizations, governmental bodies, and the general public.
- Leads, guides, and inspires community staff members.
- Maintains a high level of resident satisfaction and retention by consistently providing exceptional services. Facilitates leadership for both staff and residents, proactively addressing and resolving issues. Conducts annual resident satisfaction assessments.
- Implements quality enhancement initiatives with current residents through a proactive approach.
- Collaborates with regional operations to formulate annual operational and capital budgets. Proactively identifies and mitigates potential budget discrepancies and deficits. Strives to meet and surpass budget occupancy targets for the facility. Continuously seeks opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
- Responsible for the recruitment, training, discipline, and termination of staff in accordance with organizational policies. Reviews hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations to ensure consistency in the selection and retention of high-quality personnel.
- Ensures that facilities, grounds, and properties meet company standards through the management of preventative maintenance systems and regular inspections that align with excellence standards.
- Encourages innovation among staff to provide the highest quality services to residents in the most cost-effective manner. Responsible for fostering an environment of stability that supports the personal dignity of residents. Participates as a member of the Resident Council.
- Utilizes marketing and sales strategies to optimize occupancy rates.
- Oversees the resident admission process to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed promptly and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Manages the healthcare of all residents in compliance with company policies and state regulations. Ensures adherence to company policies regarding medication administration. Assists nursing staff with training and ensures regular audits of medication records.
- Maintains current certifications and engages in ongoing education, including staff meetings, training sessions, and online courses.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two to four years of relevant experience.
- Current licensure or certification as mandated by the state.
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role is required.
- Must possess a valid license or certification as required by the state.
