About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Patient Records Management: Update and maintain all electronic patient records, assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format, and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Physician Support: Manage the physician's inbox, prioritize tasks assigned via ONCO EMR, and facilitate seamless communication.
  • Front Office Duties: Answer phone calls, greet patients as they enter the facility, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain medical inventory, place orders for new materials as needed, and optimize storage.
  • Clinical Support: Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment, escort patients to exam rooms, record patient interview, history, and chief complaint, and provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets.
  • Examination Preparation: Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments, prepare patients for examinations, perform routine screening tests, and assist the physician during exams.
  • Phlebotomy and Lab Tests: Perform phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens, basic lab tests, and EKGs.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer injections under a physician's order, document medication administration, and adhere to the five medication rights to reduce the potential for medical error.

We require:

  • A current NYS LPN license is mandatory.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience with EMRs is necessary.
  • Reliable transportation to any NYCBS location for patient care needs is required.
