Senior Immunologist

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a highly skilled Senior Immunologist to lead research initiatives focused on the discovery and development of innovative therapies for infectious diseases.

Work Environment:

Onsite in the San Francisco Bay area.

Position Title:

Senior Discovery Immunologist

Salary:

$150,000-180,000/year

Job Overview:

We are seeking driven and collaborative scientists to spearhead research initiatives focused on the discovery and development of innovative therapies for infectious diseases. The ideal candidates will contribute to both early-stage discovery and translational research, with an emphasis on identifying and characterizing novel therapeutic targets and moving programs toward clinical development.

Responsibilities:

• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments independently to support the discovery and development of novel therapeutic candidates.
• Execute and interpret in vivo pharmacology studies to validate therapeutic targets and explore the biology of novel targets and pathways.

Project Management:

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, cross-functional, and collaborative team environment.
• Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare research reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts, and contribute to the preparation of Investigational New Drug (IND) applications and patent filings.

Mentorship and Collaboration:

• Train and manage Research Associates, fostering a hands-on approach to experimental design and execution.
• Collaborate with academic institutions and external organizations to advance research goals.
• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, objectives, and results.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess a PhD and extensive postdoctoral research experience, with a preference for those who have at least 2 years of industry experience.
• A strong publication record, outstanding communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment are essential.
• Additionally, candidates should be committed to mentoring junior scientists and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
