Salary Range
$27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist - Advanced Diagnostic Technologist plays a critical role in our cardiovascular program, preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing care in a sterile environment. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationship with the physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS, Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
