Job Overview

Marathon Mutts is in search of a dedicated Canine Care Specialist. This role involves visiting clients' residences to ensure dogs receive adequate exercise and, when necessary, providing meals.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who prioritizes the safety and well-being of the dogs in their care. They should be a motivated and dependable individual with a strong passion for canine companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise: Engage in walking, running, or jogging with the dogs to ensure they receive their daily physical activity. If requested, take the dogs to a local dog park for socialization.
  • Additional Services: Clean up after the dogs during walks. Monitor the dogs' food and water supplies, and provide nourishment as needed post-exercise. Maintain communication with pet owners regarding any observed medical needs during walks.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with dogs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability.
  • Physical capability to walk, run, lift, push, pull, bend, or reach.
  • Able to lift weights up to 15 pounds.
  • A dependable vehicle and valid driver's license are mandatory.
  • Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, from small to large.
  • Available consistently Monday - Friday for a minimum of 4 hours between 9AM and 4PM, with mandatory availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
