Job Responsibilities

The Vascular Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

  • Obtaining medical histories when necessary.
  • Performing physical exams within established protocols.
  • Diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic diseases within protocol guidelines.
  • Ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribing or recommending medications within protocol guidelines.
  • Providing preventive health screenings and immunizations for children and adults.
  • Promoting positive lifestyle habits through education and counseling.
  • Assisting doctors with office surgeries.
  • Maintaining patients' privacy and confidentiality.
  • Making follow-up calls to check patients' progress.
  • Assisting doctors with phone coverage and hospital rounds.
  • Working closely with other nurses to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Consulting with doctors regarding patient symptoms to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in nursing.
  • 3-5 years of clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute or primary care setting, or equivalent RN experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of TN.
  • Licensure as an RN in the state of TN.
  • American Heart Association BLS (BLS-CPR) certification.

Compensation Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $49.64 - $59.32. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including on-site childcare, employee assistance programs, and paid time off.
