Safety Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at GPAC. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead our safety initiatives and contribute to the growth of our company.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety plans and procedures. This will include leading project teams in safety planning and implementation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing incident investigations and training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Planning and Implementation:
    • Lead project teams in developing and implementing project-specific comprehensive safety plans and procedures
    • Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company standards
  • Training and Education:
    • Develop and deliver safety training programs
  • Incident Management and Investigation:
    • Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents
    • Manage worker compensation program and incident case management
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Manage compliance efforts as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety management, ideally with a focus on water and wastewater
  • Certifications: Professional certification in safety management preferred
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
