Graduate Career Advisor

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Graduate Career Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Career Services department, you will play a vital role in assisting full and part-time MBA and/or specialized master's degree students, as well as alumni, in developing and refining a comprehensive strategy for securing an internship and/or full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide career advice to assigned students, assisting them in developing an academic and job search plan, including company lists and networking.
- Collaborate with academic advisors to ensure alignment of student academic and career goals.
- Review and revise resumes and personal brand statements to enhance students' employability.
- Assist students with employer engagement and achievement of placement goals, as well as job offer negotiations.
- Provide information and resources specific to international students' career development needs.
- Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to students.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to less experienced advisors.
- Source career outcome data from current and recently graduated students to support internal and external reporting needs.
- Support the creation and delivery of professional development content and orientation.
- Conduct research on trends and generate ideas for new professional development programming.
- Administer assessments and other tests to match students' strengths, interests, aptitudes, and personalities to career options.
- Masters degree required.
- 3-5 years of related experience, including 3 years of student advising.
