InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Learning Lab to join our team. As a key member of our instructional services team, you will be responsible for managing Learning Lab services, technologies, and activities for campus and designated teaching sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate Learning Lab services, technologies, and activities for a campus, including individual and group tutorial services, study groups, supplemental instruction, and in-class study skills.
- Develop, track, and maintain the departmental budget, researching and evaluating all purchases and expenditures.
- Supervise, train, coach, direct, coordinate, and discipline personnel while adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures.
- Research, develop, and design best-practice based tutorial services, curricula, strategies, methods, and programs to augment, supplement, and assist academic departments and workforce programs.
- Serve as a technical and operational liaison to all instructional departments and divisions supported by the Learning Lab.
- Promote and advertise Learning Lab services to students, faculty, and staff.
- Maintain all departmental records and submit compliance reports as required.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN) for tutorial and instructional divisions supported by the Learning Lab.
- Coordinate the design and update of the Learning Lab website.
- Oversee computer classrooms, open computer labs, and productivity software used by departments supported by the Learning Lab.
- Collaborate with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and Student Services counselors to provide assistance and adaptive technology, equipment, and learning support.
- Three years related work experience, including one year supervisory experience.
- Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of LAN operations.
This position is performed in a standard office or similar environment. The employee is subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds is required.
Salary Range:$62,536 - $78,170
