Job Summary

The Culinary Assistant plays a vital role in preparing and serving meals within our dynamic commercial kitchens.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes, and ensuring food and supplies are stored with safety protocols in mind.

The Culinary Assistant collaborates closely with Lead Cooks and the Food Service Director, providing support as required.

Compensation:
$20.00-$22.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Food Service Director as needed.

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals while adhering to food safety regulations.

Store food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation.

Participate in dishwashing duties, including pots and pans.

Contribute to general kitchen and dining area cleaning.

Attend kitchen staff meetings.

Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
Current state-approved first aid certification.

Current state-approved CPR certification.

Current Washington State Food Handlers Card.

Preferred experience includes six months or more in a related role or training.


Other relevant education, training, and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, abilities, and skills to perform effectively in this position will also be considered.

Experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical activity, sexual orientation, etc.) is preferred. Proficiency in any language in addition to English may be advantageous.
