Bus Operator

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a skilled Bus Operator to join our team. As a Bus Operator, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to our customers. This is a critical role that requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

• Operate a bus safely and efficiently, following all UTA guidelines and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
• Perform standard pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Meet schedule demands and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Completion of UTA's paid Bus Operator Training/Certification Program.
• One year of customer service experience, with the ability to solve problems and resolve customer inquiries.
• Safe driving record, with a valid driver's license and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including regular walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
