Position Summary:

As an IV Pharmacy Technician, you will be essential in the preparation and compounding of sterile intravenous medications for patients in a long-term care environment. This evening shift role provides a valuable opportunity to work within a collaborative setting, emphasizing patient safety and care.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and compound sterile IV medications under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Accurately measure, mix, and label medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain and sanitize the sterile compounding area, ensuring adherence to USP standards.
  • Oversee and organize inventory, including tracking expiration dates and stock levels.
  • Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to guarantee the safe and effective preparation of medications.
  • Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday: 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Background in IV/sterile compounding.
  • Prior experience with data entry is preferred.
  • Valid California pharmacy technician license.
