Stratton Mountain Employee Housing Caretaker Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Employee Housing Caretaker to join our team at Stratton Mountain. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of assigned employee housing properties. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
About the Role:
The Employee Housing Caretaker is a full-time year-round position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, this role also comes with the opportunity to live on-site in one of our resort-owned properties if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Daily/weekly checks of common areas and rooms
- General system checks (boiler, fire suppression, etc.)
- Ground maintenance (leaf, lawn and snow management)
- Snow removal, including plowing, sanding, salting
- Light maintenance to include tasks including carpet cleaning, painting, light carpentry repairs, light fixture maintenance
- Trash and recycling duties
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a High School diploma or equivalent, previous experience working as a caretaker, janitor, carpenter or maintenance personnel, and possess basic computer skills. You should also have excellent communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a pick-up truck. We are looking for a team player who can multitask, work unsupervised, and prioritize tasks effectively.
