Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our team at Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine. As a key member of our emergency and critical care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our team of specialists, and contributing to the growth and development of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency and critical care to patients, including triage, diagnosis, treatment, and hospitalization or discharge
  • Collaborate with our team of specialists, including internal medicine, surgery, and critical care, to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in the development and implementation of emergency and critical care protocols and procedures
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our hospital, including mentoring and training junior staff members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in emergency and critical care medicine, including attending conferences and workshops
Requirements
  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Connecticut
  • Experience in emergency and critical care medicine, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
