Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver essential clinical support to healthcare providers, patients, and their families to aid in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Ensure follow-up on diagnostic tests for accuracy and proper documentation in medical records to maintain continuity of care.
  • Gather and record patient medical histories, primary concerns, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Administer direct clinical care as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist providers during minor surgical procedures and diagnostic examinations to support accurate diagnoses.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring all related paperwork is completed to facilitate efficient laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with patients as directed by providers, prioritizing messages and responding to inquiries to optimize provider time and patient satisfaction.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the guidance of a provider, adhering to established practice standards.
  • Ensure examination and treatment rooms are cleaned and set up between cases, maintaining aseptic conditions and preparing necessary instruments and equipment.

Position Requirements:

Education:
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Surgical Technology (Required)

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (Preferred)

Certifications and Licenses:
Basic Life Support Certification, Licensed Practical Nurse

Skills:
Knowledge of clinical policies and standards, effective communication, and teamwork. Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman or Surgical Technologist will be considered valuable.
