Job Summary

The State of Florida is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Warehouse Specialist at the Jefferson Correctional Institution. As a key member of the Institutional Support team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Mailroom, processing incoming and outgoing inmate and institutional mail, and assisting with supervision of inmate workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the receipt and issuance of commodities, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Process inmate mail, including reviewing admissible reading material and logging incoming legal mail.
  • Conduct legal mail callout on a rotating monthly basis and forward inmate mail to other facilities.
  • Assist with supervision of inmate workforce as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 2 years of experience with using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • 3 years of data entry experience.
  • 3 years of mail handling experience.
