Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive job cost accounting for multiple construction projects, including processing subcontractor accounts payable, client billing, and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all expenditures associated with each project.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to provide necessary guidance and support.
  • Ensure effective communication and enforcement of existing Project Accounting practices and company policies.
  • Address and resolve accounting-related issues proactively and tactfully, aiming for timely solutions.
  • Monitor projects with a focus on risk management and escalate concerns as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction or project-related accounting is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on detail and goal orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems or similar business software; experience with JD Edwards is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance efficiency with quality outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and disciplined approach to work.
  • Positive, courteous, and friendly demeanor.
