Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our Women's and Children's Services team at UNC Holly Springs Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities
  1. Education and Professional Development

Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and others. Attend education programs based on identified learning needs. Utilize patient education materials relevant to patient population.

Evaluation of Care

Identify expected patient outcomes. Seek guidance as needed in revision of plan of care. Participate in discussion with members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluation of patient care.

Implementation

Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, including population-appropriate physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan.

Leadership

Develop goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations. Achieve goals and objectives within identified time frame or renegotiate with supervisor. Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.

Patient Assessment

Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care. Include appropriate physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. Synthesize assessment data into meaningful whole prior to communication to others.

Planning

Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care. Make use of available multidisciplinary resources in planning care. Identify and address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care.

Research

Read journals that contain studies or articles that may be applicable to practice. Bring ideas and questions to the staff at large for assessment of applicability.

Requirements

We are seeking a Registered Nurse II with a strong foundation in nursing practice and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
