Diesel Truck Shop Foreman Job Description

The Diesel Truck Shop Foreman is a key member of our team at Duit Construction, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and assist mechanics in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
  • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure quality of repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles
  • Conduct road rescues and repairs of truck breakdowns and accidents
  • Manage maintenance schedules and inventory of parts and supplies
  • Collaborate with facility and fleet manager to prioritize tasks and optimize workflow
Requirements:
  • Experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair
  • Ability to read and understand vehicle manuals and electrical systems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Physical ability to work in and around equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASE Certification or equivalent work experience
  • Current driver's license and clear driving record
