Mixologist

Judith is a restaurant opening this fall in Sewanee, TN, committed to quality and service. We're seeking an experienced bartender with a passion for local, organic, and sustainable food and drinks.

• At least 1+ years of bartending experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A positive personality and respectful attitude
• Knowledge of food, cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
• Flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Maintain a base knowledge of classic cookery and advanced understanding of wine, beer, and cocktails
• Keep menu and beverage knowledge current as menus evolve
• Responsible for sales and service of food and beverage in bar and bar area
• Serve beverages to bar guests and produce beverages needed in other areas
• Assist in developing house cocktail program and seasonal updates
• Communicate effectively with other bartenders and FOH employees
• Mise en place prep, cocktail creation, beer and wine service, and table service
• Assist with inventory and maintain bar equipment for safety and cleanliness
• Provide friendly and professional service to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
• Process cash, credit, and gift card transactions
• Responsible for opening, closing, and running side work throughout shift

About the Chef: Chef/owner Julia Sullivan is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, with experience at top New York restaurants. Julia has been recognized for her culinary expertise and commitment to sustainability.
