The Advanced Critical Care Paramedic operates in a dynamic role that exemplifies professionalism and fosters excellence in patient care.

This paramedic delivers advanced emergency and critical care alongside a CareFlight Nurse during patient transport and may also provide care for individuals within the healthcare system.

The Advanced Critical Care Paramedic collaborates with diverse patient populations and engages in public relations and medical education initiatives.

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED; Paramedic certification in the State of Ohio

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Paramedic certification in the State of Ohio
  • Mandatory certifications upon hire:
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Certifications required within specified time frames post-hire:
  • 90 Days - ITLS or PHTLS
  • 1 Year - NRP, ATLS (audit)
  • 2 Years - CAMTS approved professional certification

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of full-time Paramedic experience is required. Recent experience with a 911 Emergency Service Agency or MICU Transport Company is preferred.
