Responsibilities- Clinical Assessment
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on patient needs and medical plans of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating standards of care and practice.
- Clinical Planning
- Develop, modify, and integrate care plans with the medical plan of care and other disciplines.
- Establish measurable patient goals in consultation with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Clinical Intervention
- Perform treatments as ordered by providers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide therapeutic nursing interventions as established by individualized care plans.
- Clinical Evaluation
- Evaluate patient responses to care based on effectiveness of nursing interventions.
- Initiate changes in care plans based on evaluation and problem-solve with the specialty team.
- Patient Education
- Identify learning needs of patients and families and teach accordingly.
- Ensure patients demonstrate knowledge and understanding of care plans.
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
- At least one year of nursing experience
- Registration as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Basic Life Support certification
- Additional specialty requirements as per department standards
