Job Title: Paralegal Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Paralegal Specialist to join our team at Addison Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage complex schedules for witnesses and legal proceedings.
  • Prepare, review, and edit legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the collection, distribution, and archiving of documents related to legal cases and transactions.
  • Assist the VP of Legal in placing accounts with external attorneys for legal collections.
  • Track the progress of legal collections and provide regular updates to the VP of Legal.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or Advanced Certification in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role, preferably within the student loan, financial services, or collections industry.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
