This position involves working within a laboratory setting, engaging with a variety of technologies, particularly in the fields of industrial lubricants, sealants, and thread compounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments, develop, apply, assess, and troubleshoot a range of lubricants, sealants, and thread compounds, while establishing specifications and requirements for the industrial sector.
  • Ensure meticulous and comprehensive documentation of laboratory activities and outcomes.
  • Communicate technical information and materials effectively to colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with fellow chemists, technicians, field sales/service personnel, manufacturing teams, and clients.
  • Contribute to a cooperative team atmosphere, addressing the current and future lubricant needs of clients.
  • Develop and oversee formulations and guidelines based on laboratory and production batch data.
  • Possess a solid understanding of ASTM methods utilized for grease testing.
  • Implement rework processes as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team to establish appropriate testing specifications and methodologies.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Grease Formulation.
  • Prior experience in formulation and laboratory settings, closely collaborating with clients to support their industrial lubrication, sealant, or thread compound needs.
  • Strong understanding of industrial lubricants.
  • Capability to effectively design industrial lubricants, sealants, and thread compounds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various functions, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
