Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Trades Educator - Building Construction Technology to join our team at Home Builders Institute Inc. As a Skilled Trades Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and education to our students in the field of Building Construction Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction: Develop and deliver curriculum and training materials for Building Construction Technology programs, ensuring that students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry.
  • Student Development and Placement: Assist with student recruitment, placement, and employability training, as well as mentor and coach students to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, manage classroom activities, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, and/or any combination of work, education, and/or skills equivalent to Journey-level experience in the relevant trade - Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, or HVAC.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in a related field, with a strong understanding of Building Construction Technology principles and practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
Working Conditions

Usual office-type working conditions, with routine physical conditions including walking, carrying, standing, hearing/listening, and sitting. Nominal travel anticipated.
