At Perdue Farms, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our production and maintenance operations. This key role is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-efficient production and distribution of our products, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage operating and capital budgets to maintain a competitive position in the industry.
  • Meet all facility operational plans, including yield, birds per man hour, pounds per man hour, line efficiency, CSI, and QI requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to reduce turnover, improve safety results, and create a positive work environment.
  • Provide training to improve supervisory skills and hourly production associate skills to maximize individual and team efforts.
  • Support and promote the company's annual goals through effective planning and communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Agriculture, or related discipline.
  • 5 years of related work experience, with a proven track record of leading people and achieving results.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-3 year time span.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Exposure to wet and moist floors, temperatures, and chemicals used in poultry processing.
