As a MICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and develop plans for continued care
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and document patient responses and outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Current RN licensure in the state of Maryland
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program
- At least one year of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a MICU
- ACLS certification, or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
