Job Overview:

Boeing is on the lookout for a proficient and knowledgeable Electrical Wiring Engineer to become part of our P-8 Increment 3 Block 2 initiative in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves assisting in the integration and modification of aircraft wiring for the P-8 platform, particularly focusing on the INC 3 Block 2 modification initiative. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and technical experts to guarantee the aircraft's exceptional capability and performance. This is a distinctive chance to make a significant impact on the P-8 program and influence the future of maritime surveillance technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the modification, troubleshooting, and resolution of wire routing and installation challenges for the P-8 aircraft, concentrating on the I3B2 modification initiative.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance I3B2 program modification performance, ensuring smooth integration onto the aircraft platform with a particular emphasis on optimizing wire routing and installation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve test failures during the modification process.
  • Engage with clients, internal teams, and technical contractors to diagnose wiring issues, define technical solutions, and communicate updates regarding aircraft modifications and support.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to provide insights during the planning and execution phases of modifications.

Work Environment:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the designated location.

Security Clearance:

This position necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in wire design, wire installation, or working with electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with P-8 Increment 3 Block 2 (I3B2) or similar modification programs.
  • Familiarity with the technical aspects of the 737 and/or P-8 platform and its wiring design.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
