We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our surgical procedures by maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room and all surgical equipment to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, including preparing patients, setting up equipment, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor and maintain the sterility of the operating room and all surgical equipment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician program (ORT) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Active National Certification as an OR Tech in Surgery or Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Experience working in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
