Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Banquet Chef to enhance our culinary team and provide outstanding dining experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Banquet Executive Chef to discuss planning, staffing, and operational procedures.
  • Complete daily food requisitions and develop daily specials.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and mentorship of kitchen staff.
  • Contribute to menu development and inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred college degree or certification in culinary or hospitality fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of kitchen management experience in both a la carte and banquet settings.
  • At least 5 years of cooking experience.
  • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
  • Effective communication skills with both the public and team members.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Able to comprehend and achieve financial objectives.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction.
