The PBX Switchboard Operator is a vital member of the Oglebay team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless communication within the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Telephone Operations: Understand and operate the telephone operator board or PBX switchboard with ease.
• Call Handling: Answer all incoming calls, direct calls to guest rooms, staff, or departments, and place outgoing calls as needed.
• Guest Services: Provide information about resort services and amenities to guests, and assist with reporting any issues or complaints.
• Emergency Procedures: Know what action to take in case of an emergency call, and adhere to health and safety, fire, and bomb threat procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Train or assist with training new telephone operators, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.
• Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly, distinctly, and with a friendly, courteous tone.
• Problem-Solving: Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain a professional image.
