Job Overview :

This position involves executing designated radiographic imaging tasks at a technical level under the guidance of a certified technologist. The intern will proficiently conduct a range of technical procedures, adhering to the documented competency levels, which necessitate independent judgment and initiative.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accurately positions patients and selects anatomical and technical parameters for imaging procedures. Assists the physician during imaging tasks. (40%)
  • Completes all necessary documentation related to procedures, including regulatory requirements, billing protocols, and image distribution. (20%)
  • Implements safety standards and radiation protection measures. (15%)
  • Supports the Radiology Technologist by addressing patient comfort and needs, facilitating patient flow, and recording clinical information. (10%)
  • Ensures adequate supply levels for efficient departmental operations. (10%)
  • May assist in the preparation of contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and relevant regulations. (5%)
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in a radiology technologist program.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
