At CHSGa, we're committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing daily care and support to our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal grooming and hygiene, supporting care such as oral, denture, and skin care, and helping patients with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care to patients, including personal grooming and hygiene
  • Support care such as oral, denture, and skin care
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom
  • Take vital signs of patients, such as temperature, blood pressure, and respiration, and record information
  • Assist patients with meals and document intake of nourishment
  • Assist with personal grooming, such as brushing hair, trimming fingernails and toenails, and shaving
  • Turn patients intermittently if they are bedridden due to illness
  • Document and report information regarding patients' health, I&O, any change of medical condition, and care given
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as requested
  • Understand and utilize care plans
  • Identify the four basic food groups on a sample breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal
  • Apply and release restraints and provide exercise
  • Practice proper body mechanics while moving/transferring patients
  • Provide range of motion exercises for patients
  • Recognize and report signs/symptoms of abuse and/or change in condition
  • Properly document in accordance with established guidelines

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred
  • A current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Georgia is required
