The Community Support Specialist (CSS) operates under general supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment.
The CSS reports to the Regional Program Supervisor and collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness of CPP initiatives and provide expertise in various HHSC benefits programs.
Key responsibilities include:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Conduct assessments of community organizations, establish recruitment goals, and engage local entities to foster new partnerships.
- Program Support and Training: Offer ongoing training and technical assistance, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and represent HHSC at external events.
- Data Management and Evaluation: Document program activities, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and analyze data to enhance program effectiveness.
- Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with HHSC Community Partner Program and related benefits.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
