Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist to fill the position of Program Manager in our Mental Health Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of mental health professionals in providing high-quality care to our Veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of mental health professionals in providing clinical and administrative services to our Veterans.
  • Develop and implement programs and policies to improve the quality of care and services provided to our Veterans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided to our Veterans, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice psychology in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least three years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and guiding mental health professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Veterans, family members, and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Veterans with serious mental illness, particularly in intensive community mental health recovery (ICMHR) or mental health intensive case management programs (MHICM).
  • Supervisory experience in clinical and business operations, including assertive community treatment (ACT) programs or share caseload models of care.
