General Summary: This role is essential for the smooth operation of the convenience store and gas station, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all patrons, ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service by demonstrating empathy and attentiveness in every interaction, whether in-person or via phone.
  • Assist customers in locating products, handling merchandise, and managing loading or unloading tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, both inside and outside the facility, including restrooms, countertops, and floors.
  • Receive, verify, and appropriately store incoming merchandise.
  • Unpack and restock shelves and coolers with products as instructed.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including registers, restrooms, break rooms, and backrooms; sweep and mop floors, and address supply needs.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of the lot; clear sidewalks of snow, apply ice melt, and clean parking areas and gas pump zones.
  • Refill outdoor towel dispensers and maintain window washer fluid levels.
  • Timely removal of trash from inside and outside the premises.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new staff as necessary.

At the Register:

  • Manage lottery ticket sales and validate winnings.
  • Accurately operate the cash register, scanning items and reporting discrepancies in cash levels.
  • Process promotional coupons, food stamps, cash, checks, and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate change is given and receipts are issued.
  • Package merchandise for customers efficiently.

In the Kitchen:

  • Prepare food items using various cooking appliances, including ovens, stoves, and microwaves.
  • Ensure ingredient freshness through proper preparation techniques.
  • Adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
  • Display food items appropriately, monitor expiration dates, and dispose of any outdated products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work area at all times.
  • Store food items correctly when not in use.
