YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee culinary standards and operational protocols within designated areas during your shift, ensuring all kitchen operations run smoothly.
  • Manage all aspects of food preparation, maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Propose enhancements to standard menus, focusing on optimizing food costs, quality, and presentation through strategic menu planning.
  • Demonstrate versatility by performing various culinary tasks as needed, including broiling, sautéing, and food preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and company sanitation regulations (ServSafe certification required).
  • Promote safety and accident prevention practices within the kitchen.
  • Implement waste management protocols in accordance with established standards.
  • Coordinate workflow during shifts to meet operational demands and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback on food quality and address any concerns professionally.
  • Represent the company positively and encourage team members to uphold the same standards.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned, maintaining confidentiality in all company matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field, with a minimum of two years of culinary experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience in a high-volume, quality-focused food establishment.
  • Proficient knowledge of menu planning, including soups, sauces, meats, poultry, and seafood.
  • Understanding of food and labor costs, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Able to respond to visual and auditory cues effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with various departments and leaders to achieve operational goals.
  • Adherence to all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Effective labor management to optimize staffing based on guest traffic.
  • Commitment to team development, ensuring all members complete necessary training and understand policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with departmental and company policies.
  • Maintain health department standards, ensuring inspection scores meet or exceed requirements.
  • Must possess ServSafe or equivalent certification, with a thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to obtain Responsible Alcohol Training certification.
