Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist

ProKatchers is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic Labor and Delivery setting. As a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including monitoring maternal and fetal health.
Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments of laboring patients, including vital signs, contraction patterns, fetal heart rates, and overall well-being.
- Administer medications, manage pain relief options, and assist with various medical procedures as needed.
- Offer emotional support and education to patients and families regarding childbirth and newborn care.
- Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe delivery and address any complications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, care provided, and any changes in patient condition.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including labor complications or unexpected changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care, including discharge instructions.
- Provide care for the mother and newborn post-delivery, including assessments and support for breastfeeding and recovery.
- 01-year relevant experience.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN License issued by the California State Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (American Heart Association).
