Job Overview:

    Ivywood Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Center Director to lead our team. As the primary point of contact for staff, parents, and external partners, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the center.


About the Role:

    As the Director, you will be accountable for managing school staff, planning work schedules, evaluating performance, and developing improvement plans. You will also assist in implementing Company-provided curriculum, coaching teachers on standards interpretation, and ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.

    In addition, you will serve as direct support to the Executive Director, focusing on health and safety, enrollment and financial wellness, staffing, training, campus support, and delivering high-quality education and care for students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage School Staff: Plan work schedules, evaluate performance, and develop performance improvement plans.">
  • Implement Curriculum: Assist with the implementation of Company-provided curriculum, coach teachers on standards interpretation, and ensure compliance with state licensing requirements.">
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of staff and students, monitor potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.">
  • Enrollment and Financial Wellness: Focus on increasing and retaining enrollment, supporting financial wellness, and ensuring effective use of resources.">
  • Staffing and Training: Support hiring and onboarding of high-quality instructional staff, provide ongoing training and development opportunities, and foster a positive, nurturing environment for staff growth.">
  • Quality Education and Care: Deliver high-quality education and care for students, prepare classrooms, plan lessons, manage student assessments, and meet with parents.">

Requirements:

">

    To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in a childcare center, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity. A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required, with a Master's Degree preferred.

    Additionally, you must be at least 21 years old, possess a CDA, TCC, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree, and meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements may apply.

    You should also be willing to attain state-mandated Director requirements within six months of employment and demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


Compensation:

    The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000.00 and $55,000.00 per year, plus bonus and benefit package based on veritable education and experience.
