Festival Foods, a Wisconsin family- and employee-owned grocer, is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Food Court Clerk I in our new Skogen's Festival Foods grocery store in Hudson, WI.



Job Summary:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service by locating and recommending food court options.
  • The successful applicant will have the opportunity to improve the breakfast, lunch, and dinner tables of our guests by offering a variety of delicious meal options.
  • This is a part-time or full-time hourly position that may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.


Key Responsibilities:

  2. Delivering Excellent Guest Service: Provide prompt and courteous assistance to guests, including locating and recommending food court options such as Caribou coffee, pizza, or popcorn.
  3. Collecting and Fulfiling Orders: Collect and fulfill guests' orders or special requests with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Maintaining High-Quality Sanitary Conditions: Oversee the food court area by maintaining high-quality sanitary conditions and ensuring proper stock levels of condiments, utensils, napkins, containers, and additional supplies.
  5. Ensuring Food Safety: Collect temperatures of food and maintain all necessary food safety logs to ensure compliance with departmental procedures.
  6. Pricing and Signage: Maintain accurate pricing and signage of food court products to provide transparency and clarity to our guests.
  7. Cleaning and Preparation: Ensure clean prep areas by conducting detailed wipe-downs before arranging food.
  8. Quality Standards: Ensure all quality standards are met, including quantity and quality expectations for daily operations.
  9. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and achieve business objectives.

To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service. The successful applicant will also demonstrate:



  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Procedures: Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of or possess the ability to receive proper training in equipment such as trash compactors, dishwashers, ovens, fryers, woks, hot bars, and balers.
  • Retail Food Business Knowledge: Knowledge of the retail food business to make informed decisions and contribute to business growth.
  • Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make timely and effective decisions to drive business results.
  • Self-Motivation: Must be self-motivated and willing to take initiative to achieve goals and objectives.

Salary Range: $12-$18 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
