About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our Federal Services Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing calculations and designs for equipment mounting, foundations, and pipe supports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analysis of changes to existing power plants and new plant systems
  • Develop equipment mounting, foundation design, and pipe support calculations and designs
  • Support engineering design and analysis projects for the power industry
  • Perform site walkdowns to identify design solutions and develop cost-effective problem resolutions
  • Perform static equivalent and dynamic analysis of structures for seismic loads
  • Gain familiarity with and application of industry codes and government regulations
  • Design of pipe supports, structures, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with power system design for mid-level engineer
  • Minimum 7 years' experience with power system design for senior-level engineer
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes and standard office production software
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Familiar with the International Building Code and building code design
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
