About the Role

The Learning Experience is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Leadership: Plan, prepare, and collaborate to create a dynamic and engaging learning space that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Masterfully deliver our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool children.
  • Safety First: Prioritize a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Family Communication: Regularly update parents on their child's progress and milestones, utilizing a combination of mobile apps and in-person discussions.
  • Center Collaboration: Work collaboratively with center staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment, and engagement goals.
  • Relationship Builder: Foster strong relationships with families and colleagues, creating an environment where learning and play coexist seamlessly.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Meet state-specific guidelines for the role, with a High School Diploma or GED required. ECE coursework is preferred.
  • Experience: Possess extended experience in a childcare setting, with a history of classroom leadership roles. A deep passion for early childhood education is essential.
  • State Compliance: Meet state-specific guidelines for the role, including performance level, immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training.
Physical Demands

The Lead Teacher will be required to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods without significant discomfort.
  • Safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Reach, stretch, and use hands and arms.
  • Climb or balance.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Use a stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary.

The Lead Teacher must be able to supervise by sight and sound, and maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job functions.
