Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist at Froedtert Health, you will play a critical role in preparing patients and performing radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology. Under the direction of a radiologist or other providers, you will operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols, adhering to organizational customer service standards and supporting excellence initiatives.
  • Provide positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform ancillary services and assist in patient care areas as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • One year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred, but clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
  • Post-high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program is required, with an additional 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field preferred but not required.
  • ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer are required, along with American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.
