We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Bon Secours Charity Medical Group. Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of medical and psychiatric conditions in patients 18 years and older.
- Work collaboratively with supervising physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Recognize emergency conditions and communicate information to supervising physicians in a timely manner.
- Order and interpret clinically appropriate tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice and expertise, including wound care and repair, abscess incision and drainage, injections, and respiratory support.
- Coordinate outpatient referral and follow-up care plans for patients.
- Communicate diagnosis-specific education to patients and families/guardians.
- Supervise medical, PA, and/or NP students during clinical practice in the Medical Practice setting as needed.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Licensed Physician Assistant required.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) must be obtained prior to first day of employment, required.
- Current New York State Physician Assistant license, required.
- Current BLS certification is required.
