Job Summary

As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, collaborating with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of medical and psychiatric conditions in patients 18 years and older.
  • Work collaboratively with supervising physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Recognize emergency conditions and communicate information to supervising physicians in a timely manner.
  • Order and interpret clinically appropriate tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
  • Perform procedures within the scope of practice and expertise, including wound care and repair, abscess incision and drainage, injections, and respiratory support.
  • Coordinate outpatient referral and follow-up care plans for patients.
  • Communicate diagnosis-specific education to patients and families/guardians.
  • Supervise medical, PA, and/or NP students during clinical practice in the Medical Practice setting as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Licensed Physician Assistant required.
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) must be obtained prior to first day of employment, required.
  • Current New York State Physician Assistant license, required.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
